About this age calculator
This tool computes your precise age across three calendar systems: Gregorian (the standard English year), Bangla Sambat (Bengali year, BS), and Hijri (Islamic lunar year, AH). Enter your date of birth and an optional "age on" date — the result is calculated server-side using accurate calendar arithmetic.
Why three calendars?
People who use multiple calendars in daily life — a Bangla speaker who also follows the Hijri month for Ramadan, or anyone preparing bilingual documents — often need to express age in more than one system. This tool shows all three at once, so you do not have to look up conversions separately.
Why is my Hijri age higher?
The Hijri year averages 354.367 days — about 11 days shorter than the 365.25-day solar year. So roughly every 33 solar years, you live one extra Hijri year. The math: if you are 33 years old in the Gregorian calendar, you are approximately 34 years old in the Hijri calendar. The tool calculates this exactly by querying the Aladhan calendar API for both birth and "age on" dates.
Worked example
Suppose you were born on 15 August 2000 and want your age on 24 May 2026. The tool returns: 25 years, 9 months, 9 days (Gregorian), approximately 25 years (Bangla Sambat), and approximately 26 years (Hijri). It also shows a total of 9,413 days, 1,344 weeks, and 225,912 hours lived.
Future or past dates
The "age on" field accepts any date — past or future. Use it to figure out how old someone will be on an upcoming birthday, anniversary, or exam date, or to look up how old you were on a memorable past event.
